Building a
Sustainable Future
OUR INSPIRATION
Srila Prabhupada
“The cow is the most important animal for developing the human body to perfection. Don’t purchase meat from the slaughterhouse. Don’t kill them. We shall protect the cow. As long as they’re alive, let us take the cow’s milk and prepare delicious foods for the whole human society.
A civilised man is expected to live on foodstuffs comprising fruits, vegetables, grains, sugar and milk. The bull helps in the agricultural process of producing grain, etc., and thus in one sense the bull is the father of humankind, whereas the cow is themother, for she supplies milk to human society. A civilised man is therefore expected to give all protection to the bulls and cows.”
“Cow protection brings you closer to nature, closer to Krishna and closer to your own eternal nature.”
~ Aniruddha Dasa,
Temple President of Hare Krishna Melbourne
BEHIND THE CAUSE
Keshava & Atulya
Rooted in a shared vision of compassionate living, Keshava and Atulya founded Krishna Valley to create a space where spirituality, sustainability, and service naturally come together. With decades of dedication to cow care, conscious living, and community building, they have shaped the Valley into a place where values are practiced daily, not just spoken. Their vision blends warmth with purpose, inspiring residents, volunteers, and visitors alike. Today, their work continues to guide the Valley’s growth — nurturing a culture of kindness, stewardship, and meaningful connection with all life.
Our Values. Our pillars
Ahimsa
We practice a non-violent (ahimsa) lifestyle, which means that every cow, calf and bull live for the duration of their lives without fear of death, mistreatment or being over milked. The calves enjoy happily drinking milk from their mothers.
Sustainabilty
We live lightly on the earth, honouring natural rhythms and regenerative practices. Our choices today are guided by the wellbeing of tomorrow.
Service
Krishna Valley envisions a living ecosystem where spiritual depth is preserved, compassion is practised daily, and people from all walks of life can belong, grow, and serve with meaning.
Compassion
Kindness is not an idea here — it is a daily practice in how we think, act, and relate. By seeing God’s presence in all life, we create a shared culture of empathy and belonging.
